Homebrew Installer Review:
The third product we recommend is a brand new product which has quickly become po
pular – the Wii Homebrew Installer.
This is all about unlocking your wii in order to install the cool Homebrew channel. This means access to homebrew applications such as classic retro game emulators (SNES, N64, C64) and the ability to launch backup games even without a modchip installed.
Included are the proper savegame and software to make this happen along with instructions on how to go about. The instructions are easy to follow so that you can quickly get
going with your homebrew adventure. We tested this on a un-modded wii and managed to play backup games without problems after installing the softwares required.
Apart from the homebrew part, this product also offers a download service where you can find thousands of games and movies to download. The download service is not quite the caliber of Ultimate Wii Downloads but
still a great complement when you have installed the homebrew channel.
Pros:
Easy to follow Homebrew installation guide
Nice Download service as a bonus
Cons:
Even if you get two services for the price of one, you can get more value for the money with The Ultimate Wii Guide.
Verdict:
A product that will suit most users that are curious about homebrew and are into downloading movies and games.
